Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a focused approach to treating traumatic stress by reconnecting in a safe and measured way to the images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations associated with trauma, and allowing the natural healing powers of the brain to adapt.

Somatic Experiencing

“This approach offers a framework to assess where a person is “stuck” in the fight, flight or freeze responses and provides clinical tools to resolve these fixated physiological states. You will be gently guided to develop better tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions” *as defined by the Somatic Experiencing International.
